Carbon Hexachlorosulphide, C2S3Cl6
Carbon Hexachlorosulphide or Trichloromethyl Trisulphide, C2S3Cl6 or CCl3.S3.CCl3, is present in the residue from the distillation of thiocarbonyl tetrachloride. It forms brilliant, colourless, prismatic crystals, which fuse at 57.4° C. and boil at 190° C. in vacuo.
